Important 2016 STE and Visual Studio Update

Users of this site are obviously familiar with PaycheckCity and its branding. But how much do you know about our parent company, Symmetry Software? Symmetry Software specializes in more than just great paycheck modeling tools. Because we think we know some of you reading this secretly already knew all this, here's an important product updated related to the STE:
If you are a current STE customer, and work with the technical aspects of the product , upcoming changes are coming. On March 11, STE-2016-R4 will be released. After this, you’ll see two builds under the normal zip file within your customer portal download section in NetSuite. One will contain STE compiled with Visual Studio 2010 redistributables. The other will contain an STE build compiled with Visual Studio 2013 redistributables.
Upgrading to the STE Visual Studio 2013 redistributable build is strongly recommended. If you’re using the Java interface, you will not be able to build against the latest 2013 redistributables. Java Versions 6 have been built on the 2010 redistributables. You to build against the latest update.
