For many new to the workforce, the taxes taken from their first paycheck can be confusing. The American Payroll Association (APA) created the Money Matters National Education Day (MMNED) outreach program to help experienced professionals, like you, educate young adults this September on important paycheck basics that will help set them up for a future of financial success.

The APA is calling for volunteers. To sign up, visit their National Payroll Week website.

When you become a MMNED volunteer, you’ll join the ranks of hundreds of volunteers educating the nation’s future employees on financial literacy on September 6 and throughout 2018. Volunteers receive an easy-to-use Teacher’s Guide, student workbook, and an accompanying PowerPoint presentation. The APA rewards all volunteer efforts with one RCH applicable for payroll recertification and a citation of recognition from its Executive Director Dan Maddux.

Once you’ve volunteered and downloaded the teaching materials, you can find resources to assist in your outreach and marketing efforts online.

Learn more about the Money Matters program and how you can become involved. Join the movement to help young adults understand paycheck basics!
