Scottsdale, AZ (October 26, 2012.) Symmetry Software is pleased to announce the addition of Mr. Ben Hesford as software engineer. Ben is re-engineering and updating our highly popular State W-4 products, by moving the federal, state, and local withholding forms process from fillable pdfs to a browser-based system that will work on any electronic device. With the new product, employers will have an easy and efficient way to complete a manual portion of onboarding for new employees while existing employees will have a clean and simple interface to update their information on various withholding forms. Ben expects the Symmetry forms product to launch in the first quarter of 2013. Similar to its predecessors the Employee Exception Certificate Software Development Kit and State W-4 hosted forms, the new forms application will be available for employers to integrate to their own Employee Self Service portals or access as a software-as-a-service version hosted by Symmetry.

Ben holds an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and German from the University of Iowa, where he also recently completed a master's degree. When not coding, Ben can be seen cycling around Scottsdale or playing billiards.

About Symmetry Software
Founded in 1984, Symmetry Software specializes in payroll and payroll-related withholding tax software applications for the Internet and corporate intranets. Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, Symmetry runs four payroll-related Web sites:
  • PaycheckCity┬«: Symmetry's most popular Web site receives more than 4 million page views each month. As one of the most-visited payroll support sites on the Internet, this Web site offers employees self-service tools for paycheck management including free personal finance calculators. Individuals can model "what-if" scenarios using their wages and other paycheck figures to determine the impact on "take-home pay."
  • Making one's way through the maze of state withholding requirements and forms is a challenge for even the most experienced HR professional. Using StateW-4's online form-preparation process for federal, state, and local withholding forms, which includes built-in error correction and data validation, HR departments have access to the latest reciprocity information and forms, while ensuring increased accuracy and less paper handling than before.
  • This Web site has a payroll research library for industry professionals, including free paycheck calculators and a paycheck community message board.
  • Payroll Point┬«: View the correct payroll withholding tax settings based on the home and work addresses entered. See how nexus and reciprocity affect your employee settings and calculation. The latest mapping technologies help deliver appropriate withholding settings.
