Scottsdale, AZ November 24, 2014 – Symmetry Software, specialists in payroll withholding tax solutions for large employers and payroll providers, announces the completion of the American Payroll Association Certified Payroll Professional Exam by Product Manager, Michael Nierstedt. The certification is exam-based, and proves a high level of payroll knowledge and professional competency.

Nierstedt states, “I am excited to use all the knowledge I gained studying for and taking the exam. As Product Manager, it is important that I stay up-to-date on all payroll rules and regulations. Our customers can be confident that they are receiving accurate and reliable information!” Nierstedt joined Symmetry Software in 2009 as a Customer Support representative. He quickly showed an interest in moving to a more product-centric role, and officially shifted to Product Manager in 2012. Nierstedt’s recent certification has allowed him to deepen his payroll knowledge, including new hire processes, payroll calculations, deposits, and the reporting of payroll.

The American Payroll Association administers the Certified Payroll Professional exam, and requires that all candidates have passed the Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) before completing the Certified Payroll Professional exam. The American Payroll Association is the nation’s leader in payroll education, publications, and training. For more information about the Association or any certifications, please visit
